I have been fortunate to have worked for companies and individuals that believed in the commitment to excellence. When I was still working at 2.00am, I just had to look to my right to see my general manager right there beside me. It made all the difference in the world to know that you are not the only one. It made all the difference in the world when the staff saw management right there in the trenches with them.

Similarly Life won't present problems without solutions.
Life laughs at you when you are unhappy,
Life smiles at you when you are happy,
Life salutes you when you make others happy.

Every successful person has a painful story,
Every painful story has a successful ending.
Accept the pain and get ready for success.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning,
But anyone can start now and create a success ending.
Mistakes are painful when they are made,
But a year's collections of mistakes are called Experience
which leads to SUCCESS.

Don't You Quit When Things Go Wrong
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must .... But don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learn.
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out.
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you are hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst you must not quit.

P.S. I had this poem on a card inside my wallet when I was just out of my teens, all those years ago. Every once in a while, I would take it out and read it through whenever times was hard. Today, I managed a company that does millions in sales every year. It seems a long way from when I started. Dreams can come through, if you hang on long enough.
